Anna Kilgro

Clinical Counseling Intern

Anna Kilgro

I am passionate about promoting the welfare of individuals as they discover their true selves through cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance, commitment therapy, and person-centered therapy approaches. I value social justice, autonomy, dignity, authentic human relationships, beneficence, empathy, competence, and integrity, and I intentionally integrate these qualities into my daily sessions.

My specialties include supporting individuals overcoming eating disorders, gender and body distortion, anxiety, depression, emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, and body image issues. I strive to create a warm, secure, and inviting atmosphere where my clients can freely express their concerns and feel safe exploring their authenticity.

In 2020, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from Auburn University. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2024.
