Ashley Hart

Clinical Counseling Intern

Ashley Hart

I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health counseling at New Mexico Highlands University and anticipate graduating at the end of the summer, in 2024. I am pursuing counseling because therapy changed my life and I want to pay it forward. I desire to help others find their own versions of freedom. I am passionate about helping people with eating disorders as well as those in need of anger management and career counseling. While in my studies, I had the opportunity to learn sand tray therapy and art therapy and am happy to share these techniques if you are interested. My personal theoretical orientation for therapy is Choice Theory/Reality Therapy and Existentialism.

Additionally, I am a native New Mexican who has lived in the northern, southern, and now middle part of the state. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from New Mexico State University. I look forward to working with you and supporting you through your recovery.
