I found my way into the nutrition world because I’ve always loved food and wanted to help people feel their best. From the start, I believed in the incredible role food can play in healing the body. When I became a Registered Dietitian in 2015, I thought my path was all about helping people lose weight and change their diets. But pretty quickly, I realized that something about that approach didn’t sit right with me. Something important was missing.
That’s when I began to see how deeply diet culture was influencing both the health industry and the way people felt about themselves. I started learning about Intuitive Eating and began healing my own relationship with food—and that’s what truly reignited my passion for nutrition.
Today, I see food not just as fuel for our bodies, but as a way to enjoy life, celebrate culture, and connect with others.
When I started working at EDTC, I discovered how much I love supporting people in their journey to heal their relationship with food. In 2022, I became a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist, and I continue to feel honored to walk alongside individuals as they find freedom and confidence in nourishing their bodies. One of my favorite things is helping people connect how their body feels with what the science of nutrition tells us—it’s a beautiful blend.
I work from an Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size®-informed lens. I believe every person deserves respectful, individualized care—regardless of body size—and that everyone should feel empowered to make their own health decisions. I got the privilege to start directing the nutrition department in 2024. I love getting to lead a team of like-minded Registered Dietitians. Getting to see my team grow and support others in their journeys is almost as good as seeing patients gain freedom in their eating.
Some fun facts about me:
- I love traveling. I've been to 18 countries so far. My favorites are Iceland and Costa Rica.
- My husband and I are working on seeing all of the United States National Parks together though it may take us until we retire to see them all.
- I love being active. Whether it's running, biking, lifting, hiking, I love a little challenge (just don't challenge me to run another marathon, please).
- I've had a close call with a hippo in Namibia and can still say they are my favorite animals.
