Clinical Counselor

Chaya Rose

I believe that every client is equipped with the power and ability to improve their own life. I encourage my clients to consider their strengths, as well as recognize the influence of their social, cultural, and familial contexts in shaping beliefs, perceptions, and emotions. The counseling relationship is based on empowerment and equality; the client is considered the expert who holds the power to change and I, as the counselor, offer support, validation, and safety. I look forward to helping my clients improve their lives and accomplish their goals by providing them the opportunity to learn and grow within a healing therapeutic environment.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art at the University of New Mexico, and a Master’s degree in Social Work New Mexico Highlands University. I am excited and honored to be part of the therapeutic team at EDTC. I look forward to working with you and helping you unearth and pursue your best self.

As a certified yoga instructor, I value a mindful and balanced approach to health and wellness for an improved quality of life in which we can aspire to thrive not only to survive.
I am passionate about cooking, the outdoors, and my dog child corgiwawa, Boomer.
