Elizabeth Curry

I believe that every client is equipped with the power and ability to improve their own life. I encourage my clients to consider their strengths, as well as recognize the influence of their social, cultural, and familial contexts in shaping beliefs, perceptions, and emotions. The counseling relationship is based on empowerment and equality; the client is considered the expert who holds the power to change and I, as the counselor, offer support, validation, and safety. I look forward to helping my clients improve their lives and accomplish their goals by providing them the opportunity to learn and grow within a healing therapeutic environment.

I earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Arizona, and a Master’s degree in Counseling at the University of New Mexico. I am excited to call Albuquerque my home and honored to be part of the therapeutic team at EDTC. I look forward to working with you and helping you unearth and pursue your best self.
