Clinical Counselor

Tori Reid

Victoria prefers to go by Tori and uses she/her pronouns. She graduated from The University at Albany in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and finished her accelerated master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2021. During her internship she treated a variety of struggles including, but not limited, to anxiety, depression, mood disorders, gender/sexuality concerns, eating disorders, anger management, life transitions, grief, trauma, and OCD related disorders. Tori also worked in crisis stabilization at an inpatient facility with teens prior to starting as a clinical therapist at EDTC in August 2022.

Tori is extremely passionate about helping others identify aspects of themselves or others that prevent them from living their fullest lives. Her mission is to taper each client’s treatment to their individual needs and goals. Tori uses an eclectic therapeutic style incorporating aspects of cognitive therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and humanistic approaches. She specifically relies on DBT techniques to help her client’s build the necessary skills to be successful throughout treatment and while in recovery. Tori understands that taking the first step in seeking out treatment is very difficult, and she hopes that you can utilize EDTC’s support while navigating this difficult time.

A few of Tori’s interests include being an advocate and activist for marginalized groups such as the LGBTQIA+ community. Tori also enjoys mindful bodily movement, alternative music, and traveling.
